Polvin maintains their production equipment to a very high standard.
Spare barrels and screws for all extruders are in stock, and all mechanical, electrical or electronic spares are kept on site.
A fully equipped maintenance workshop caters for all our needs, from new machine installation to adjustment of twin screws.
This has allowed an on- line time of greater than 99.6% or a total machine unavailability of less than 24h per 6000 hour year.
The purpose of this is to maximise quality and Customer service. |

Polvin uses super high efficiency motors and AC VSD’s having an energy efficiency of greater than 98.5%
Compared to a standard variable speed motor of 50- 70% efficiency, this amounts to a huge reduction in electricity consumption and hence more environmental.
All in house PVC scrap generated is granulated, milled, reprocessed and sold.
Polvin does not use lead or cadmium stabilisers - in fact we phased lead out in 2004 and have never used Cadmium. |
